I was fortunate enough to be in the company of Ajay Madhok this past week and he said something that was profound. He said that we have long ago left the manufacturing economy which I can agree with. He said that transition took place around 1970. From 1970 – 2000 we were in the information & services economy which too is plausable. Now he says that we are living in the Networked Economy, think about this. Look at how fast Facebook and MySpace have evolved. The numbers are exponential. I agree with Ajay. So what does this mean to all of us? Get networking and make the relationships meaningful, not just swap profiles but actually get to know people and help people.
