Interview with Jacque Fresco and Roxanne Meadows.
I met futurists Jacque Fresco and Roxanne Meadows through their contribution in The Zeitgeist Addendum. Their premise is that the world can be improved by changing our environment. They are living in Venus Florida and have started The Venus Project an effort of designing a new environment for the future of human beings. Our society today is so polarized because our culture is so old and has not adapted because the social institutions (the established institutions) we have in place have kept the people in power who are running them.
Einstein said patriotism is “a disease.” War is the supreme failure nature between nations who can bridge their values. What we are doing today is creating killing machines. War is corrupt, war is highly profitable, it is a “good business,” for the people and companies invested in the killing machines, iron and human alike. Jacque wants to educate people and promote more people to become scientists to solve problems.
We must declare the earth as common heritage; you then have the basis of a workable economy. We need the intelligent management of the Earth’s resources. Religion is an over simplification of things that can’t be explained. Fresco and Meadows bring a sense of fearless leadership to an uncertain world with answers and solutions that require our thoughtful consideration. Their next big project is to produce a major motion picture that can be translated and distributed around the world so that their ideas can gather momentum for the benefit of all.
