Hi Dan: In my experience Twitter is "more open" than Facebook, you can follow anyone, basically. Facebook requires more of a formal approval process to connect. As far as a Facebook Business Page they have eyeballs going for them, but no one will know anything until they test it. I did not like their roll out similar to Twitter's UI, i found it harder to use and personally just don't like it as much as the old way they had the UI. It would be nice to give the user a few options, not just one option. It comes down to asking the clients and testing it with them to determine if they get more page views and longer site visits which is probably something they strive for.

Your article covered many great points! Especially, the importance of inbound links from high quality and relevant sites. Great idea to use links as a negotiating tool.

I'm interested to know why Twitter would be the first choice in the social media realm instead of a hybrid focus on building a Facebook Business Page as well? I'm pretty new in this industry and have a lot to learn, but based on what I've been reading lately, Facebook will soon open up and allow for expanded search and real time updates across the web. How do you see this impacting Twitter?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this and keep up the great work!
