This will probably get some legs mainly because of the Reverend’s thinking and the number of times he probably delivered these types of America bashing sermons. If this was the usual weekly fare it will be a hard road to convince the media that Obama’s judgment being associated with this church is what is in question. In online social media you or I who have anonymity can get away with this kind of stuff and link to others who are controversial, look at how many others are in Obama’s church, the media is not talking about them.
Obama is finding out first hand the power of the networked economy. He recently said "words matter." O.K., that so how is he going to answer this? What he has to do is say that the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Jr. is he is no longer his friend and will not have any contact with him. Kind of like deleting someone from your MySpace or Facebook page. Case dismissed….or is it? Time will tell.
