Usless E-mail Marketing by a Major Airline
For the past few years I have been a frequent flyer MileagePlus on United Airlines, however not lately. I live in the Boston area, they know that…..please take note the airport code is BOS. I can’t figure out why they market United E-Fares flights from places like Boise (BOI) to San Francisco (SFO) to me? Do they know something I don’t? Even worse than that they don’t even offer me a single flight from my home town.
Two things might be going on here. One, they don’t care and the marketing person is clueless. Two, their e-mail communications software package can’t produce dynamic database driven e-mail newsletters. I have a feeling it is number one, because I believe the technology exists.
